New concept forward (synchro) roller coating machine for light coating, design and two-tones effects onto bovine whole hides

Oils and waxes can be applied both hot and cold, as well as light coatings containing pigments and aniline dyes, print & tipping effects onto embossed leathers; furthermore, adhesives, sealing resins and flame-retardant products can be applied to the flesh side

S1 model offers the following features as standard:

• Electronic control of all operating parameters, including working gap and the speed of both the engraved cylinder and the rubber-coated counter roller, with clear and immediate display on the control panel’s touch screen
• Dual motorised doctor blade holder with digital control at both ends which guarantees outstanding accuracy during its controlled movement hence avoiding any premature wear of the same while safeguarding the coating roller longevity
• Large-diameter motorised rubber-coated pressure roller running a special thin PET/TPU conveyor, easy to clean and highly resistant to oils and solvents
• Innovative exit conveyor belt wrapped around the rubberised roller eliminating the need for a peel off device positioned low and close to the traditional rubber-coated counter-roller
• Continuous exit conveyor cleaning system featuring a washing brush roller and associated scraper blade, stainless-steel tank and independent motor
• Double-diaphragm product pump with recirculation trays and a large stainless steel collection basin at the bottom
• Stainless steel chemical distribution piping with quick-connect fittings for engraved cylinder washing
• Oscillating doctor blade holder featuring smooth, linear movement of high precision with pneumatic mixing device (“mixer”) that runs across the whole working width by means of a linear cylinder

• Double-band leather and flattening device (spreader) with automatic centring and independent motorisation synchronised with the machine
• The device ensures that the hides are properly stretched, preventing creases from forming and it is mounted on wheels and rails to facilitate back and forth movement during cleaning and maintenance
• Safety guard on the leather feeding mechanism and dust-proof compressed air nozzles
• High precision motor-driven detaching device with variable speed to peel the leathers off from the coating roller and lay them down onto the exit conveyor which provides the automatic transfer to the drying unit
• Spreading conveyor with set apart ribbons to convey the hides exiting the roller coater to the drying tunnel or to the next machine; the conveyor can be swivelled up for maintenance
• OPC-UA communication protocol for the connection to the local network and remote assistance
